STAIRWAY TO ZEPPELIN‘s authentic replication of Led Zeppelin’s recordings has catapulted the band to wide recognition as one of the US’ premier Zeppelin tributes.

Their performances and visual effects, including a multimedia component, incorporate state-of-the-art sound technology at reduced decibels with an unparalleled attention to detail.

Stairway to Zeppelin‘s impressive collective resume includes collaborations with Heart, REO Speedwagon, The Black Crowes, Fee Waybill/The Tubes, Richard Marx, Garth Brooks, Jewel, Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flats, Quiet Riot, Wilco, Autograph. TV/Film credits: The Brothers Osborn and David Grohl’s Sound City.

Peter Merkle’s three-plus octave vocal range replicates Robert Plant’s range in his prime. A native of Chicago, Peter’s captivating charisma and personality transport fans to the era when Led Zeppelin ruled concert stages worldwide. The Illinois Entertainer has hailed his vocal performance as: “Awe-inspiring.”Grammy-nominated recording engineer Gary Loizzo proclaimed: “Really great voice” Gary U.S Bonds, blues & rock singer, after sharing the stage with Peter said: “You are one singing Motherf****r!” 


Paul O’Connor, lead guitars/vocals and founder of Stairway To Zeppelin, performed on tour with Heart, REO Speedwagon, Pegasus, Johnny O, Richard Marx and Fee Waybill among others. Paul signed with Sound City Studios in Van Nuys CA where some of rock’s most iconic music — Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvanacan be seen in David Grohl’s film ‘Sound City’.  Paul has produced sessions with members of Autograph, Gary LeVox (Rascal Flats), Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Natalie Hemby, Kelly Coffey… Paul’s songwriting credits include Little River Band, Maiden Dixie, feature films & TV.  Paul graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Music and Theater. 

 

Eric Swanson, bass/vocals: “A Led Zeppelin tribute of this caliber is like playing the great classics, Bach, Beethoven in an orchestra.” An award-winning film composer and conductor, whose music has on Netflix, A&E, MTV, Discovery, and more, Eric joined Stairway To Zeppelin because of his love of this music. He has appeared on stage with members of Vanilla Fudge, Quiet Riot, King Cobra among others. A graduate of both The Berklee School of Music and UCLA’s Film Scoring and Audio Engineering Programs, Eric’s videogame music credits include Metal Warriors, Skeleton Warriors among others.

 

Paul Scholten accepted an invitation to join Stairway to Zeppelin to experience the joy of performing challenging drum parts by the great John Bonham of Led Zeppelin. Owner and award-winning producer at the famed County Q Studios in Nashville, Paul has been the producer at the genesis of many hits to come out of Nashville, from Rascal Flats to Kenny Chesney. Paul’s productions at County Q have won numerous ASCAP awards and have hosted the likes of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood back when they were singing demos!
